PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a selector valve for shallow layer buried type uninterruptive water branching work, allowing branch piping work to be done for a shallow layer buried existing pipe with a less back-filling amount. SOLUTION: The selector valve for the shallow layer buried type uninterruptive water branching work is provided for stopping or branching a water flow in the existing fluid pipe P by cutting a portion of the existing fluid pipe P in the state of uninterruptive water and inserting the selective valve 12 into the cut portion. It comprises a valve casing 6 inserted into a holed portion and a selector valve body 12 to be turned in the valve casing 6. The valve casing 6 is partitioned into three rooms communicating with an upstream portion of the fluid pipe P, a downstream portion thereof and a branch pipe portion located at the same position as that of each of the upstream and downstream portions. The upper part thereof is provided with opening portions corresponding to the three rooms, and the selector valve body 12 selectively closes one of the three opening portions with turning operation.
