PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure unprecedentedly useful information through base sequences stored in a database as functionally known or functionally unknown ones. SOLUTION: A creation method of a database includes a first step of extracting base sequences stored as functionally unknown ones from a database storing information on base sequences, a second step of assembling the base sequences extracted in the first step to create a functionally unknown assembly sequence, a third step of retrieving comment information related to the functionally unknown assembly sequence according to the base sequence of the functionally unknown assembly sequence created in the second step and/or an amino acid sequence derived from the functionally unknown assembly sequence, and a fourth step of storing the functionally unknown assembly sequence related with the comment information retrieved in the third step.
