<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pinball game machine capable of reducing the disadvantage on player's side as the detection of game balls by a pattern variation starting means is made ineffective and the disadvantage on game hall's side as the profit is reduced by a player's suspention of shooting operation as much as possible. <P>SOLUTION: This pinball game machine comprises a pattern display means 35 for variably displaying game patterns based on detection of game balls by the pattern variation starting means 26, a reserved ball memory means 67 for storing game ball detection information detected by the pattern variation starting means 26 with a prescribed upper limit number of reserved balls as the limit, a reserved ball consuming means 68 for starting the next pattern variation based on the detected information after the variable display of patterns terminates, and a profit state generating means 54 for generating a profit state on condition that the patterns stopped after variation in the pattern display means 35 become a big hit one precedingly prescribed.
