PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of copying protection of audio data when both of the audio data of a two-channel system and narrow-band system, and the high-quality audio data of a multi-channel system and wide-band system are transmitted. SOLUTION: Audio signals A of the two-channel system or the multi-channel system relating to the same audio sources is selectively inputted to A/D (Analog-to-Digital) converter 1, are subjected to A/D conversion by different sampling frequencies and numbers of quantization bits. A CGMCAP code for managing the copying of the two-channels and a second CGMCAP code for managing the copying of the multi-channels are recorded in a lead-in area of the disk. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
