PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for an electric vehicle capable of preventing an abnormal operation from occurring before it occurs in an electric vehicle or the like equipped with a speed sensor, in an electric vehicle not equipped with a speed sensor. SOLUTION: The control device for the electric vehicle is constituted of an inverter that converts power to an AC current from a DC current, an induction motor driven by AC power fed from the inverter, the electric vehicle equipped with a means that estimates the rotational speed of the induction motor, and a means that determines whether a command from a cab coincides with the operation of the inverter.
