PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire excellent in a rim fitting property by making a shape of a bead part appropriate even in the case of a light weighted rim such as a PCI rim. SOLUTION: The pneumatic tire has a bead part 1 buried with a bead core 2. When a bead base 5 of the bead part 1 is divided into two parts of a bead heel side area 6a and a bead toe side area 6b, at least three main projections 9a, 9b, 9c having tip ends 8a, 8b, 8c tapered from the bead base 5 toward an inner side 7 in the radial direction of the tire are provided at a predetermined interval. The main projections 9a, 9b, 9c are constituted such that the tip ends 8a, 8b, 8c fall down toward the inside 10 in the width direction of the tire in assembling of the rim. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
