The actuator has a multilayer structure comprising piezo layers with internal electrodes (10,13) between them. The internal electrodes are mutually connected at the sides to external electrodes. The individual internal electrodes are rounded at the corners (11) formed by the cut edges. The rounding radius is preferably at least 20 micrometer.
