<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform exposure according to digital image information without using a high energy laser light source and to make a printing plate. <P>SOLUTION: A planographic printing plate is made through a step in which a planographic printing plate precursor having a hydrophilic support and an image forming layer comprising an ethylenically unsaturated polymerizable compound, a photopolymerization initiator and a sensitizing dye represented by the formula X-Ar-C(-R<SP>3</SP>)=C(-R<SP>2</SP>)-C(=Y)-R<SP>1</SP>is irradiated with light in the UV region corresponding to image data from DMD (digital micromirror device) and the polymerizable compound in the exposed parts is polymerized and a step for removing the image forming layer in the unexposed parts. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
