PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter press capable of coping with a plant required to treat various kinds of raw liquids and a process in which the throughput of the raw liquid is fluctuated. SOLUTION: This filter press is constituted so that a movable frame (5) capable of moving to the suitable position among several filter plates (4) arranged in a line is arranged, the plates (4) are separated into several blocks and a raw liquid supplying pipe (28) and a filtrate discharging pipe of the frame (5) are communicated respectively with a raw liquid supplying port (20) and a filtrate discharging port (21) of each of the separated plates (4) arranged on the side of a rear frame (2). The raw liquid different in kind is supplied to each block of the plates (4) and the filtrate different in kind is discharged individually. The number of the plates (4) can be increased or decreased correspondingly to the number of the kinds and the throughput of the targeted original liquids. As a result, one unit of this filter press can cope with the treatment of various kinds of the targeted raw liquids and the fluctuation of the throughput without necessitating man-power and time for various kinds of work.
