PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-based quick-drying resin composition which exhibits excellent quick-drying properties and adhesion, possesses good rubbing resistance, and exhibits water resistance and solvent resistance equivalent to those of a solvent-based composition. SOLUTION: The water-based quick-drying resin composition is prepared by combining a water-soluble anionic resin having a weight-average molecular weight of 1,000 or above, a water-dispersible anionic resin, a cationic resin having a number-average molecular weight of 600-5,000,000, and a polyvalent metal compound, wherein the content of the water-dispersible anionic resin is 200pts. wt. or higher per 100pts.wt.
