PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the contamination with dust or the like at each treating step by a simple structure, and to efficiently culture many kinds of cells. SOLUTION: The culture apparatus 1 for culturing the cells by two or more steps has treating chambers 2-7 divided into each step. The treating chambers 2-7 have shutter means 17 installed for opening and closing the treating chambers 2-7 to neighboring spaces, and a differential pressure-generating means 20 and 21 for causing the differential pressure between the chambers and the neighboring spaces.
