PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a trash compression machine which can compress general trash and containers separately by a compression member and easily classify them into the compressed general trash or the compressed containers. SOLUTION: The machine body 1 is equipped with the compression member 2 which is moved between a waiting position and a compressing position by a transfer device 3 attached to the machine body 1, and first and second trash receiving parts 4, 5 which move between the trash compressing position facing the compression member 2 and the retreated position apart from it. The general trash can be compressed by the compression member 2 setting the first trash receiving part 4 for the trash compressing position, while the containers such as cans/PET bottles can be compressed by the compression member 2 setting the second trash receiving part 5 for the trash compressing position.
