PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyphenylene ether/elastomer graft copolymer improved in compatibility, the prevention of delamination, and weld tensile strength, and a resin composition comprising the copolymer. SOLUTION: The graft copolymer consists of (a) 1-99 pts.wt. of an amino group-containing polymer obtained by reacting the living terminal lithium ion groups of a conjugated diene compound polymer chain and/or of an aromatic vinyl compound/conjugated diene compound copolymer chain with a nitrogen-containing cyclic compound having a specified structure, and/or a hydrogenated derivative of the amino group-containing polymer, and (b) 99-1 pts.wt. of a polyphenylene ether having a specified functional group. The resin composition contains 1-99 pts.wt. of the graft copolymer and (c) 99-1 pts.wt. of a thermoplastic resin. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
