METHOD FOR TRANSFERRING DATA AND IMAGING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transfer image data efficiently between an imaging controller and an image processing controller for both color image print and monochromatic image print.

SOLUTION: A video interface between a PDL controller 11 and an image processing controller 10 is provided with signal lines for YMCK. A printer transmits four lines of one color data simultaneously using four signal lines in the case of a color image through single drum arrangement and repeats the operation for one page and for four colors. In the case of a monochromatic image, the printer transmits four lines of black data simultaneously using four signal lines and repeats the operation for one page.
