THERAPEUTIC AGENT FOR MELANCHOLIA AND DIAGNOSTIC CONTAINING PEPTIDE FRAGMENT DERIVED FROM HUMAN beta-FIBRINOGEN HAVING PSYCHOTROPIC ACTION

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a therapeutic agent for melancholia and a diagnostic each containing a peptide fragment derived from human β-fibrinogen having psychotropic action.

SOLUTION: The therapeutic agent for melancholia and the diagnostic each comprise a purified peptide fragment eluted in a concentration of 50-100 mM NaCl from healthy human serum and having 10-3 kDa molecular weight. The therapeutic agent for melancholia and the diagnostic each comprise a synthetic peptide in which amino acid sequence is GVNDNEEGF. The peptide fragment purified from the healthy human serum shortens an akinetic time by forced swimming test of mouse and enables new contribution to medical care as the new therapeutic agent for melancholia and the diagnostic for melancholia.
