PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance reliability of connection of a panel terminal to an electrode terminal of an IC chip for driving a liquid crystal, and to prevent cracking and breaking in a passivation membrane of the IC chip, by reducing warping of a terminal forming part of a liquid crystal display panel. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display panel 1 with a dummy electrode 18 disposed on a non-terminal forming surface 17 of a protrusion 3, is placed on a placing table 24 of a pressure device 23 with an electrode 25 disposed thereon, in such a way that the dummy electrode 18 abuts on the electrode 25. The IC chip 11 for driving a liquid crystal is placed on a plurality of panel terminals 5 and 8 formed on a terminal forming surface 7 of the protrusion 3 via an anisotropic conductive film 10. The non-terminal forming surface 17 is heated via the dummy electrode 18 by supplying electricity to the electrode 25, and the liquid crystal display panel 1 and the IC chip 11 are heated by a pressing bar 27 of a pressure device 23 to be press-fixed.
