PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel shutoff device for an engine capable of enhancing the power generating capacity of a generator by introducing such a structure that even the output of one of the power generating coils provided originally for shutting off the fuel can be supplied efficiently to an electric load during the engine being in operation in the same manner as the other power generating coils. SOLUTION: The fuel shutoff device for the engine is structured so that one 16c of a plurality of power generating coils 16a-16c of the generator 16 is connected with a normally open type solenoid valve 9 to shut a fuel passage 8 of a carburetor 2 when current is fed through an engine control switch 23 turned into the Off position A and the On position B, and when the switch 23 is in the Off position A, the current feed can be made from the coil 16c to the solenoid valve 9, while the output of the coil 16c is supplied to the electric load 26 in the same manner as the other coils 16a and 16b when the switch 23 is in the On position B.
