PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety belt with a reinforcing rope which improves the problem that a rope connecting a D-ring and a hook of the conventional safety belt is single, so that if a worker falls in a situation where the one rope is damaged, the rope is cut off even by a small impact load and the falling cannot be stopped. SOLUTION: As to the safety belt with the reinforcing rope, a rope is added for reinforcing the part of a single main rope part where possibility of occurrence of abrasion or damage is high for eliminating a dangerous situation which has occurred conventionally. The reinforcing rope which is added for reinforcement has a diameter smaller than or equal to that of the main rope. Further, the reinforcing rope consists of a small-width belt, has a material or a braiding constitution different from those of the main rope, and has elongation or a length different from that of the main rope. Thus, even if one of the ropes is damaged, the other rope surely receives a falling impact load. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
