<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbon dioxide immobilization method and its device capable of efficiently immobilizing carbon dioxide exhausted from a fuel cell and capable of obtaining a high-purity carbon at low cost. <P>SOLUTION: The device is provided with a temperature-raising unit 11 adjusting carbon-dioxide-containing exhaust gas exhausted from a fuel cell 10 such as SOFC within a first temperature range where a reduction reaction of the carbon dioxide occurs under hydrogen atmosphere, a shift reactor 12 reducing the carbon dioxide to carbon monoxide by maintaining the first temperature range, a cooling unit 13 adjusting to a second temperature range where carbon and carbon dioxide are generated from the carbon monoxide by an oxidation-reduction reaction, and a carbon precipitation/isolation unit 14 precipitating carbon by the oxidation-reduction reaction by maintaining the second temperature range. Carbon dioxide in the exhaust gas exhausted from the fuel cell 10 is made precipitated as carbon to recover by a temperature control of the temperature-raising unit 11 and the cooling unit 13 with the use of hydrogen contained in the exhaust gas. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
