<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problems: the degree of freedom is low in the scan of a sensor section; and a change in a scan area is difficult in an object detector for investigating the internal structure of an object being buried in the ground, a structure, or the like. <P>SOLUTION: An impulse signal is transmitted from each of at least two impulse signal transmission means that are installed at a body section and have a known mutual position relationship; the impulse signal being transmitted by an impulse signal reception means being installed at the sensor section is received; and operability at the sensor section is increased by calculating the position of the sensor section from the distance being calculated by time required for receiving each impulse signal and the mutual relationship of at least two impulse signal transmission means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
