<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form correct recording marks without increasing the time resolution of exposure time and cooling time even in high-speed recording. <P>SOLUTION: An additional signal ModO is generated by an additional signal generating part by being synchronized with the rising of a modulation signal Mod1 or Mod2 for only the additional time of an overshoot current directed in an additional time setting part and an overshoot current Ios is generated based on the additional signal ModO and it is added to a LD (laser diode) driving current and, moreover, an additional signal ModU is generated by the additional signal generating part by being synchronized with the falling of the modulation signal Mod2 for only the additional time of an undershoot current directed in the additional time setting part and the undershoot current Iun is generated based on the additional signal ModU and it is subtracted from the LD drive current and then recording marks are formed by an optical waveform corresponding to the LD drive current. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
