<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric porcelain composition which realizes a low dielectric constant and a large strain and a piezoelectric actuator for an inkjet head using this. <P>SOLUTION: The porcelain composition essentially comprises a composite perovskite compound Pb(Ni<SB>1/3</SB>Nb<SB>2/3</SB>)O<SB>3</SB>and a simple perovskite compounds PbTiO<SB>3</SB>and PbZrO<SB>3</SB>. On a triangular coordinate wherein vertices correspond to X mol% of Pb(Ni<SB>1/3</SB>Nb<SB>2/3</SB>)O<SB>3</SB>, Y mol% of PbTiO<SB>3</SB>and Z mol% of PbZrO<SB>3</SB>(provided that X+Y+Z=100), the composition of the essential components falls within an area surrounded by composition points A (X=40, Y=37, Z=23), B (X=36, Y=37, Z=27), C (X=33, Y=40, Z=27) and D (X=37, Y=40, Z=23), including lines connecting the four points. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
