PIGTAIL OPTICAL FIBER STORING DEVICE AND OPTICAL TRANSMISSION APPARATUS USING SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pigtail optical fiber storing device which has high flexibility in arranging the device within a casing for an optical transmission apparatus and does not require formation of optical fiber loops and an optical transmission apparatus using the same.

SOLUTION: Optical transceivers 10 are arranged in prescribed positions and thereafter the extra length components of the pigtail optical fibers 19 and 20 can be stored into the storing device 15 when the optical transmission apparatus (43) is constituted by arranging the optical transceivers 10 into the casing (6) having an external connector (5) and therefore the flexibility of the arrangement of the respective optical transceivers 10 within the apparatus (43) is made higher and the need for forming the useless optical fiber loops between the external connector (5) and the respective optical transceivers 10 is eliminated and the damaging of the pigtail optical fibers 19 and 20 is not caused any more.
