PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prolong the service life of the battery of a remote controller which is constituted to transmit the remote control signal corresponding to the operation of an input key after the input key is operated by preventing the ineffective consumption of the battery. SOLUTION: When the input key is operated for input during a period T1, a back-light is in a turned-on state. When the inputting operation ends, the back-light is turned off and the transmission of the remote control signal corresponding to the operation of the input key is performed during a period T2 after a fixed period of timeΔt elapses.
