摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that in a detecting lever type carpet grain detecting device, a contact pressure between a roller and the surface of a floor is required to be large to secure sensibility in detection and a roller mark remains, depending on the kinds of carpets after the roller runs, if the contact pressure is too large. SOLUTION: In the carpet grain detecting device, the roller 6 contacting the surface of the floor is installed rotative to the detection lever 8, and a convex part 9 is provided on the outer circumference of the roller 6, where the roller contacts the surface of the floor. By this composition, the contact pressure required for a rug carpeted floor surface, on which the roller runs is secured by the convex part 9, and the roller marks hardly remain after the roller runs, since the whole width of the roller contacts the carpet to distribute the load, when a thick carpet on which the roller marks tend to remain.
