PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoplastic elastomer composition which has an excellent filler-loading property and from which molded articles having excellent scratch resistance, heat resistance, oil resistance, flexibility, extruded product gloss and compression permanent set resistance can be prepared, and to provide a method for producing the thermoplastic elastomer composition. SOLUTION: This thermoplastic elastomer composition is characterized by comprising a blend which comprises [I] a polyester-based thermoplastic elastomer, [II] a polyolefin-based thermoplastic elastomer composition obtained by feeding (A) an ethylene-unsaturated carboxylic acid copolymer or its ionomer, (B) a peroxide cross-linkable material, and, if necessary, a mineral oil-based softener such as a paraffinic process oil, into an extruder, and then dynamically thermally treating the fed mixture in the presence of a peroxide, and, if necessary, a plasticizer and a filler in a specific ratio. The method for producing the thermoplastic elastomer comprises melting and kneading the component [I], the component [II], and, if necessary, the plasticizer and/or the filler. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
