PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bridge type press frame structure that can be manufactured in a short period of time and to provide a press. SOLUTION: The bridge type press frame structure is composed of a front base plate 9 which has a front opening 21, a rear base plate 11 which has a rear opening 23, and a plurality of connecting plates 13, 15, 17 which connect a front base plate 9 to the rear base plate 11. The connecting plates 13, 15, 17 are each provided, in the front, with a front contact face and a front projection which projects outward from the inner edge of the front opening 21 and which is joined by welding to the outer side face of the front base plate 9. In addition, the connecting plates 13, 15, 17 are each provided, in the rear, with a rear contact face and a rear projection which projects outward from the inner edge of the rear opening 23 and which is joined by welding to the outer side face of the rear base plate 11.
