PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bidirectional amplifier in which a transformer for turnout is hardly magnetized by noise caused by lightning. SOLUTION: In a bidirectional amplifier 1, a capacitor 50 is provided on a path from a coil 34a of a transformer 30 for turnout to a ground position E1. Electrostatic capacitance of the capacitor 50 is set within a range from 10pF to 220pF as electrostatic capacitance with which a signal of the same frequency band as a down signal and an up signal is passed through the ground position E1 and passing of a signal of a lower frequency than the frequency band of the down/up signal (noise caused by lightning) is suppressed (the signal is attenuated).
