PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure the safety of a worker in handling a cargo by allowing a worker in a physically imbalanced condition to support his upper half body at once with a simple configuration, and preventing any injury of the worker to be caused by exposing his upper half body outside a cargo bed. SOLUTION: A hollow cylindrical supporting member 1 with both ends open is fixed to an inner surface of a gate 13 with the axial direction thereof being the vertical direction. A grip member 2 is fitted in the supporting member 1 from one end side of the supporting member 1 when the gate 13 is at a closed position, or from the other end side of the supporting member 1 when the gate 13 is at an open position. The fit-in quantity of the grip member 2 with respect to the supporting member 1 is adjusted by the depth of groove parts 1d and 1e in which a fixing pin 2a of the grip member 2 is fitted in. An upper end of the grip member 2 is arranged at a predetermined height from an upper surface of a cargo bed 12 irrespective of the gate 13 at the closed position or the open position, and a worker engaged in a cargo handling work holds the grip member 2 at once to maintain his physical balance.
