PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stirrer which has a reduced installation area, prevents solidification of a polymer flocculant, etc., during suspension of operation of the stirrer to thereby realize efficient re-operation after suspension. SOLUTION: The stirrer 1 with which a polymer flocculant solution can be obtained by stirring a polymer flocculant and dilution water, is provided with: a main unit 10 having a polymer flocculant introduction part 11, a dilution water introduction part 12 and a polymer flocculant solution discharge part 13; a stirring blade section 2 which is rotationally driven in the main unit 10; and an injection part 8 attached to the polymer flocculant introduction part 11 in order to inject the polymer flocculant into the main unit 10, and is characterized in that the injection part 8 is provided so that the stirring blade section 2 is disposed in such a way that the outer end 2a of the section 2 approaches the inner wall 10a of the main unit and the injection part 8 is disposed in such a way that the leading end 8a of the part 8 approaches the outer end 2a of the stirring blade section 2.
