PURPOSE: A menu display method in an optical disc system is provided to display option menu to a screen for a user to check or correct option information set by the user even during the loading operation for an optical disc secured to the system. CONSTITUTION: A menu display method in an optical disc system includes the steps of initiating an optical disc loading operation as an optical disc is inserted into the system(S30,S31). If option menu display is requested by a user during the optical disc loading operation, option information is read out from a memory and displayed to a screen(S32). If option information checking menu is selected(S33), a control part releases the option menu display operation and checks whether the loading operation is finished. If option information correcting menu is selected(S34), the control part stores newly set option information to the memory(S35) in addition to releasing the option menu display operation and the loading operation checking. If the loading operation is finished(S36), user selection menu is displayed(S37) for carrying out a certain operation selected from the user selection menu(S38).
