<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric braking device for reducing the braking torque and reliably controlling a vehicle in a failure such as disconnection of a power cable and uncontrolled operation of a motor driver. <P>SOLUTION: An abnormality detection circuit 30 detects an abnormality based on any voltage change accompanied by the abnormality such as disconnection or short circuit of main power cables 16U, 16V and 16W connected to a motor 10 of an electric braking device 1, a relay 34 is operated to disconnect the main power cables 16U, 16V and 16W, a simple motor driver 33 is closed to supply power to the motor 10 via simple power cables 40U, 40V and 40W, and the motor 10 is rotated in a direction for releasing the braking force. Since the braking force is released in an abnormal state, the vehicle can be moved even in an abnormal state, and the vehicle motion is extensively controlled. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
