FILTER MEDIUM AND METHOD OF FILTRATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make catchable and removable suspended solids even ultrafine colloidal particles and clay which have been hardly removed only with sand. SOLUTION: A filter medium comprises biodegradable fibers mixed with sand. Consequently, the filter medium can catch and remove even the suspended solids such as the ultrafine colloidal particles and the clay which are hardly removed only by sand and the used filter medium can be utilized as a soil conditioner after filtration.
