PURPOSE: A cooking apparatus with a heater is provided to easily and safely draw food out of a cooking chamber and prevent burn by moving the heater to the second position in opening a door when deploying the heater at the first position. CONSTITUTION: A microwave oven has a cooking chamber(408) opening and closing by a door, and an upper heater(220) and lower heaters(226,228). A control unit detects opening of the door by a door opening detecting sensor, and returns the lower heaters to both sides of the cooking chamber by reversing lower heater rotating members(226a,228a) with stopping heating in opening the door. Two lower heaters move to the first position to heat food in the cooking chamber, and move to the second position in opening the door. The first position is the center inside the cooking chamber, and the second position is the side, the upper part or the lower part of the cooking chamber before deploying the heaters.
