<p>A decorative outer layer(10) has an air permeable cellulose fleece forming a barrier layer(12) on the rear face. A plastic foam layer(14) is applied onto the rear face of the barrier layer, but does not penetrate through the latter. When completed the panel allows passage of air from one side to the other. The decorative(10) and barrier(12) layers form an intermediate product initially and foam(14) is applied to the rear face of this product. A soft foam layer(11) may be incorporated between decorative and barrier layers. Some or all layers are glued and laminated together. Fibers in the cellulose fleece are coated in a binder. Fleece weight is 50-200g/sq m and air permeability 55-120/sq cm. During back foaming the liquid plastic is applied directly onto the barrier layer. A spacer or fastener(20) may be included in the back foamed layer. A fiber mat may be embedded on or in the back foamed layer. An independent claim is included for a vehicle interior lining panel manufactured by the process.</p> |
