POLYESTER RESIN FOR TONER

PURPOSE: A polyester resin for a toner is provided, to obtain a low melting point and a melting viscosity suitable to a fixing temperature by introducing a functional group into the side chain of a polyester resin and improving the degree of crosslinking. CONSTITUTION: The polyester resin comprises a first acid component containing at least one compound selected from the group consisting of an aromatic dibasic acid and its alkyl esters; a second acid component containing at least one compound selected from the group consisting of a sulfonated aromatic dibasic acid and its alkyl esters; at least one glycol component; and a crosslinking agent having trivalent or more polyvalent functional group. Preferably the glycol component comprises a bisphenol A derivative; the second acid component is an alkali metal sulfonate-introduced isophthalic acid or its alkyl esters; and the crosslinking agent is at least one selected from the group consisting of trivalent or more polyvalent carboxylic acid or alcohol.
