PURPOSE: Provided are mushrooms containing pigments and active ingredients of Monascaceae culture and a preparation process thereof. The active ingredient of Monascaceae culture decreases cholesterol level, as well as reduces blood pressure and blood glucose level. CONSTITUTION: A preparation method of mushrooms containing pigments and active ingredients of Monascaceae culture comprises the steps of mixing a mushroom culture medium with Monascaceae culture, inoculating mushroom seeds into medium and culturing them. The active ingredient of Monascaceae includes monacolin K, monacolin L. monacolin J, monacolin X, monacolin M, lovastatin and the like.
