SURFACE-FUNCTIONALIZED MONODISPERSE POLYMER PARTICLE AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A method for preparing a surface-functionalized monodisperse polymer particle and a surface-functionalized monodisperse polymer particle prepared by the method are provided, to obtain the monodisperse polymer particle which is very stable to the chemical environment and has a uniform shell thickness. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of dispersing a seed particle(1) having a size of 1-500.0 micrometers in the aqueous phase where an emulsifier is dissolved by an amount of 0.1-0.5 %; dissolving a monomer, an initiator and a crosslinking agent used for functionalizing surface in a hydrocarbon-based solvent, and stirring the solution in the aqueous phase where a dispersion stabilizer is dissolved to prepare a dispersion(2); mixing the obtained dispersion solution(2) with the first dispersion solution with stirring to prepare a mixture dispersion; polymerizing the mixture dispersion to deposit a polymer(3) on the surface of a seed particle(1); and removing a hydrocarbon from the polymerized particle.
