PURPOSE: A thermoplastic resin composition is provided, to improve the flame retardancy and the mechanical properties without deterioration of the inherent transparency of polycarbonate. CONSTITUTION: The thermoplastic resin composition comprises 100 parts by weight of the polycarbonate resin comprising 20-80 wt% of a polycarbonate resin having a weight average molecular weight (Mw) of 10,000-35,000 and 20-80 wt% of a polycarbonate resin having a weight average molecular weight of 50,000-500,000; and 0.01-5 parts by weight of a halogen substituted polycarbonate oligomer compound. Preferably the halogen substituted polycarbonate oligomer compound is selected from the group consisting of tetrabromobisphenol A polycarbonate oligomer, hexabromobisphenol A polycarbonate oligomer, tetrafluorobisphenol A polycarbonate oligomer and hexafluorobisphenol A polycarbonate oligomer. Preferably the halogen substituted polycarbonate oligomer compound is a bromine substituted bisphenol A polycarbonate oligomer having a weight average molecular weight of 5,000 or less and a specific gravity of 2.2 g/cm¬3. |
