摘要 An image processing apparatus includes a reading unit reading an original document image, a correction coefficient calculating unit for calculating a chromatic aberration correction coefficient by using RGB data of the read original document image, a memory unit for temporarily storing the calculated chromatic aberration correction coefficient, a correction coefficient correcting unit for calling the stored chromatic aberration correction coefficient and correcting it, and a chromatic aberration correcting unit for correcting chromatic aberration of the RGB data read by the reading unit by using the corrected chromatic aberration correction coefficient. The correction coefficient correcting unit corrects a chromatic aberration correction coefficient for a target pixel by using a chromatic aberration correction coefficient for a pixel adjoining the target pixel and accordingly an adequate chromatic aberration correction coefficient is determined. In this way, an image processing apparatus capable of easily correcting chromatic aberration according to an actual state of chromatic aberration can be provided.
