PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a rust preventive oil composition useful for automobile industries and home electric appliance industries, providing rust preventive properties, discoloration preventing properties, degreasing power and press- workability. SOLUTION: This rust preventive oil composition for press-working and cleaning of a cold rolled steel plate and galvanized steel plate comprises (A) 65-85mass% of a base oil of a lubricating oil, (B) 5-20mass% of a rust-preventive additive of an alkaline earth metal salt or an amine salt of a >=16C alkylsulfonic acid, and/or a >=12C carboxylic acid (alkaline earth metal salt or amine salt), (C) 5-20mass% of a mixture of (i) an inert type sulfur-based extreme-pressure agent and (ii) a highly basic sulfonate prepared by excessively adding an alkaline earth metal hydroxide, oxide or carbonate to an oil-soluble sulfonate of an alkaline earth metal. In the component (C), the amount of the component (ii) is 1 pt.vol. based on 1-4 pts.vol. of the component (i). The viscosity of the composition at 40 deg.C is 1 to <10mm<2> /s and the whole base number is preferably <=20mgKOH/g. |
