RECEPTACLE FOR OPTICAL CONNECTOR

PURPOSE: To provide a receptacle for optical connectors which is free from light leakage and penetration of dust, does not use a cap and can be attached to a device or a wall with an aperture part turned to the front and does not require cap insertion/extraction even in examination in such a state that the receptacle is built in an electronic apparatus. CONSTITUTION: The receptacle for optical connectors is provided with: a body 100 which has a socket-side optical element 600 installed therein and has an insertion part 110 to which a plug B for optical connectors to be connected should be inserted; a cover 200 which is put on the body 100 and has an aperture part 210 communicating to the insertion part 110; a shutter 300 which is attached to the cover 200 so as to be opened and closed to close the aperture part 210; and a helical spring 500 being an elastic body which always elastically energizes the shutter 300 in the closing direction. The aperture part 210 has dimensions larger than the external dimensions of a plug B for optical connectors to be inserted to the cover 200 and smaller than those of the shutter 300.
