SEEDLING RAISING BOX AS SUBSTITUTE FOR TOPSOIL

PURPOSE: A seedling raising box which supplies nutrition necessary for growing a rice seed to a rice seedling and is sown with rice seeds without filling with topsoil is provided. It is easily transported and stored, and consequently reduces transportation cost. CONSTITUTION: A mixture of 55 to 65% by weight of pulp, 20 to 30% by weight of peat moss, 2 to 10% by weight of clay+starch, 2 to 10% by weight of rice hulls and 2 to 10% by weight of sawdust is heated with pressing and dried to give a seedling raising box(10).
