PURPOSE: A system and a method for providing information using the wireless Internet are provided to offer requested information in real time when a user accesses a CP(Contents Provider) through his/her mobile terminal at preset time and requests the CP to provide information. CONSTITUTION: If a user selects desired information through his mobile terminal and sets a receiving time for the selected information(102), the mobile terminal checks whether it is time to receive the selected information(106). If the established time comes, the mobile terminal accesses to a CP and requests the CP to provide the selected information(108). The CP carries out user authentication and searches for the requested information in real time(110). In case that the requested information does not exist, the CP transmits an information absence message to the mobile terminal(114). However, if the requested information exists, the CP provides it to the mobile terminal(116).
