发明名称 High-speed automatic orientation, alignment and supply machinery for confectionary articles
摘要 1,049,224. Orienting sweets; endless conveyers. AEL-FOOD MACHINERY DIVISION Inc. April 29, 1964 [April 29, 1963], No. 17886/64. Headings B8A and B8S. Sweets, Fig. 1, are dropped on mass on to endless belt 26 which conveyes them on to disc 30 which is vibrated circularly so that only sweets in end-to-end orientation are delivered along channel 36 and are then conveyed by endless belt 113 to pusher 142 which pushes them one by one into the recesses 24 of wheel 23 which conveys them step-by-step to the next station. Disc 30 (Figs. 2, 3, not shown).-Disc 30 receives sweets from belt 26 and is provided with a slope 99, a ridge 28 and a guide 104. Additionally disc 30 carries channel 36 and adjustable guide 32. A guide 93 is also provided which is carried by the stationary framework and operates switch 33 when the accumulation of sweets on disc 30 is excessive to control belt 26 to reduce the supply thereto. The sweets travel round the disc 30 and are guided by guide 104 to pass in direction 31 and travel along slope 74 till those sweets which are misaligned are pressed by guide 32 over ridge 28 and fall back on to the flat part of disc 30 to be recirculated. Those sweets which are properly aligned are further orientated by elements 110 secured to the disc and are discharged along channel 36. Detectors 129 (Fig. 6) are positioned over belt 113 in said channel so that when the belt is filled with sweets switches are operated by the detectors to reduce the vibration of disc 30 so as to reduce discharge therefrom. Pusher 142 (Figs. 11, 12, not shown).-Sweets are fed along by belt 113 till the foremost sweet meets sensing stop 114 which serves automatically to cause pusher 142 to move the sweet past pivoted element 144 into recess 24 of wheel 23. Pusher 142 is carried by parallel members 155 and 156 which are operated from constantly rotating shaft 141 whenever solenoid 168 is energized by the impact of the foremost sweet on stop 114. Operation of solenoid 168 pivots lever 163 about pivot 164 and removes shoulder 166 from cam 167 to permit the single rotation of member 162. Member 162 is coupled to rods 155 and 156 through crank arm 177, inclined pin 190, element 189, journalled pin 187 and crosshead 198, the pin 187 being additionally carried by bar 182 pivoted in the side walls 172 and 173. One rotation therefore of element 162 causes a reciprocation of the pusher 142 whenever a sweet is in place. Conveyer belt 113 (Fig. 6, not shown).-The tail roller 119 of endless belt 113 has cam 118 which operates roll 117 to vibrate longitudinally wall 115 so that sweets 10 are prevented from wedging as they are carried by the belt between walls 115, 116. Conveyer belt 26 (Fig. 15, not shown).-Its driving shaft 58 is driven oscillatably from crank 56 via linkage 57, 60, 64 and the size of oscillation is varied by hand wheel 50. Shaft 58 drives belt 26 step-by-step via a one-way clutch.
