Method for sealing joints in plasterboard surfaces with elastic sealing strips fitted to one edge and butting onto the adjacent panel

A method for sealing joints in a plasterboard covered surface, e.g. a ceiling, has elastic strips (3) fitted to some of the panel edges with the adjacent panel pushed onto the edge to form a gap free seal. The sealing strips are secured to one edge using adhesive or adhesive tape and is sealed to the adjacent panel simply by pressure. The panels can be supplied with fitted sealing strips or the seals can be applied on site. The material of the seal is selected to provide a long life seal.
