PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless radio LAN diversity antenna which is capable of transmitting/receiving in any direction and immune to the influence of the multipath. SOLUTION: A dipole antenna 2 (linear polarization antenna) is housed in a lower case 1, a patch antenna 4 (circular polarization antenna) is housed in an upper case 3 supported on the lower case 1 so that the standing attitude of the case 3 is changeable. Thus, the polarization diversity effect is expectable in addition to the spatial diversity effect, resulting in a little influence of the multipath. The orientation of the antenna 4 is adjusted suitably to enable the antenna 4 to transmit/receive waves to/from above and below which is impossible by the dipole antenna 2. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
