PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capsule holder which can hold a capsule endoscope so as to be arranged as desired by users at a desired first application site. SOLUTION: The capsule endoscope holder for holding the capsule endoscope 10 which is provided with an engaging hole 12 for linking which is so formed at the end part of a capsule 11 as to be expanded inside with a narrowed opening part 12a and external terminals 33, 35 and 37 which are disposed in a width-extensible hole 12b of the engaging hole 12 for linking and conducts to electric wiring in the capsule 11 is provided with an engaging device 151 which is provided at the tip part of a forceps pipe 153 projectable from the tip part of an in vivo insertion tube of the endoscope, inserted into the width-extensible hole 12b in a reduced state, expanded in the width-extensible hole 12b to be engaged therewith 12b disabled from being withdrawn and made detachable from the width-extensible hole 12b when the engaging member is reduced. The engaging device 151 is further provided with terminals 167a, 169a and 171a which make a continuity with the corresonding external terminals 33, 35 and 37 in the width-extensible hole 12b while inserted into the width-extensible hole 12b.
