PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bicycle parking device requiring no time and labor in its management. SOLUTION: This bicycle parking device is provided with a travel piece 11 moving when a bicycle B advances or is loaded, a pair of hook bodies 12, 12 turning in the direction of closing in such a way that a tip side holds a part of a wheel FW of the bicycle B from both sides when the travel piece 11 moves due to advance or loading of the bicycle B, and a locking piece 13 locking to prevent tip sides of the hook bodies 12, 12 from opening. The locking piece 13 is provided and pivotally fixed in a condition in which it turns in the direction of releasing locking for preventing the tip sides of the hook bodies 12, 12 from opening due to its self-weight in a free condition. Moreover, a solenoid 14 disengaging locking of the locking piece 13 and making the locking piece 13 free as required is provided in the vicinity of the locking piece 13. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
