PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To add/correct line attributes emphasizing an object with respect to line drawing configured of a two-dimensional free curve such as a curve computer-inputted with handwriting with no width by applying visually natural feelings in the same way as the similar line drawing is handwritten by a professional painter with an ink pen or brush. SOLUTION: In this method for adding line attributes, the size of line attributes to be added to line drawing is preliminarily set corresponding to the kind of the line attributes to be added to the line drawing and the size of the curvature of the line drawing, and path data expressing the skeleton of an object are inputted, and the path data are automatically divided into a straight part and a curved part, and the curvature is calculated along the traveling direction of the curved part, and the preliminarily set line attributes are added to the path data according to the curvature along the traveling direction.
